Helix Project

Client: Amgen (formerly Immunex)

Developed a partnership agreement among the City of Seattle, King County and the Port of Seattle to provide funding for infrastructure to enable the Immunex Corporation to build a $625 million biotechnology campus in Seattle’s Interbay waterfront neighborhood. (1994 – 1997)

Results: Amgen built the 750,000 square foot state-of-the-art research and development facility, housing more than 750 scientists, researchers and support staff in Seattle rather than at an alternative suburban location. The facility is the largest of its kind in the Pacific Northwest.
