Client: Ready by Five (East Yakima Early Learning Initiative)
Worked with a diverse local team of early childhood education experts to develop the initial business plan for this initiative to improve early learning opportunities in a low-income area of Yakima. Developed a template for strategies to be designed by eight stakeholder work groups; researched needs; and helped guide the work group leaders to create a comprehensive, consistent and compelling plan. Drafted business plan for review by Yakima stakeholders, and finalized the plan that was submitted to funders. Updated the plan for the second two-year funding cycle. Wrote proposals for Head Start and Early Head Start grants. (2007, 2009)
Results: Business plan was accepted for funding by Thrive by Five Washington as one of two local demonstration projects, and renewed in 2009. View link [1].
