Health Policy Papers

Client: Urban Indian Health Institute

Wrote reports on diabetes and cardiovascular disease among urban American Indians/Alaska Natives, based on a thorough review of the published research studies. These papers were to be part of a series to inform decision-makers about the most serious health challenges facing the American Indian/Alaska Native population, and to identify research and program gaps. (2006 & 2007)

Results: After review by a panel of national experts and health professionals, the papers formed the basis of a report published by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Invisible Tribes: Urban Indians and Their Health in a Changing World. View link.
