Client: Seattle Children’s Hospital
Assisted Seattle Children’s in creating and implementing a progressive transportation management plan emphasizing “green” alternatives to single-occupancy vehicle trips, and strategies for affordable housing near the hospital. (2008 – 2009)
Results: The hospital launched its Green Line shuttle bus in 2008 to connect to the downtown transit hub, with service every 15 minutes, and its Purple Line in 2009, connecting to the University of Washington. The hospital has also launched a groundbreaking loaner bike program for employees, as well as a system of financial incentives for employees who walk, bike, or use shuttles, van pools or transit.
