Client: City of Seattle

Planned and facilitated a citywide education summit process and an advisory group to address the opportunity gap and disparities for public school students. Assisted in planning 19 community meetings and an online survey that led up to a citywide summit event, and prepared a summary and analysis of the themes emerging from the input of the nearly 1,000 participants. The Advisory Group developed a set of 18 recommendations for the Mayor. (2015 – 2016)

Results: The City Council unanimously adopted the Seattle Education Action Plan in June 2017. The plan guides City investments toward eliminating opportunity gaps in Seattle’s education system, and focuses effort on 10 of the Advisory Group’s recommendations.
