Client: Neighborhood House
Developed a strategic communications plan and summary report for project partners, community members and stakeholders about the project’s accomplishments and lessons learned. Helped to identify and pursue options to continue the project after the end of a five-year grant from the National Institutes of Health. Be Active Together developed activities to reduce health disparities among low-income, immigrant and refugee residents of two public housing communities, including using volunteer labor to install exercise equipment in a park, and creating women-only exercise and swimming options to conform to cultural norms of many residents. (2013)
