Client: Sound Transit

Facilitated a two-day roundtable discussion and workshop for staff of Sound Transit and Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Staff from other urban transit agencies that have undertaken large capital programs were invited to share their experiences and discuss best practices. Topics included each agency’s planning and program management philosophies, delivery methods, contracting options, and methods of communicating with the public. Tasks included preparing the agenda, facilitating the workshop, writing a workshop summary, and debriefing Sound Transit staff. (2016)

Results: Workshop was held in September 2016. The agency staff from Sound Transit and LA County MTA identified a number of strategies to assist in the implementation of their large, new capital programs.
