Client: Washington State Department of Commerce
Served as the “partnership builder” for the organizations that have opted to be tenants at Pacific Tower, which is being developed as a health college and nonprofit innovation center in the historic tower on Seattle’s Beacon Hill. The tenants are Seattle Colleges (principally Seattle Central), Pacific Medical Center, and 15 private nonprofit organizations involved in health and education. We helped them take advantage of the synergy of co-locating in ways that benefit the public, raise funds for capital improvements, and plan for future development of the campus. (2014 – 2016)
Results: We were part of the team that raised $55 million from state, local and philanthropic sources to complete the necessary capital improvements to create the Innovation Center. The Tower was rededicated [1]in November 2016, and the 1930s murals by Northwest artist Kenneth Callahan were reinstalled in the building’s entry rooms.
